why are you locking the knees at the top ….what are you really trying to work, hams / hips and back or JUST back ?

1:19, Grip strength is also a purpose of this exercise. The cushion of the shoes allows too much foot movement, and it doesn’t give your legs a strong, steady base to pull or push from. Picture squatting on a bed versus doing it on a concrete floor. It’s all the little things that will add to injury doing the big lifts.

well then you missed a great video, his information is perfect, his form is perfect and nowhere in the video does he encourage you to use straps

  4. moskva71 says:

@mra95662 you right and the running shoes as well

  5. sluvington says:

@crashxxx I agree he is taking it just a little bit too far.

woow, arching to much in your lower back friend. You should lock your gluts, and that’s it. Overextending your lower back its never good idea.

@thecityalive Haha, well that makes more sense then :)

  11. thecityalive says:

@TRichards66 sorry I misspoke. What I meant to say was 95%+ in addition to your weight, so in essence, 195% on the pull. Good catch.

  12. TRichards66 says:

@thecityalive I highly doubt that you would be needing straps or chalk at BW. I’m pulling around 160-170% BW for sets and still don’t require these.

to be honest im a homosexual bodybuilder and i know how to deadlift.. the problem is you have to be skinny to lift really heavy because long arms help deadlifts.. anywy keep lifting breeders

  14. dq303 says:

why do u squeeze your shoulders back?

  15. vroomvroom333 says:

Dude, PERFECT instructions! Where can I find the music you used in this video? Is there a way I can have the MP3? Thanks brah!

  16. singhakabuttar says:

@EdgarE5S Good question! what i do is alternate grips afeter each set.

  17. thecityalive says:

Why don’t you pull that weight raw? I feel like using straps are good, but at the expense of grip strength. Get some chalk and win. Usually, a deadlift gets harder when you start to pull 95%+ of your BW

  18. EdgarE5S says:

Does one arm get stronger than the other depending on which side your wrist is holding the bar or it doesn’t matter?

  19. The180Clown says:
